Wedding Card Re-do

Hi friends!

I hope you all are having a wonderful Monday! How was your weekend?
I had a blast on Saturday. I went to the Anaheim Expo and met some of my blogy friends! I also got some goodies to play with. Yay.  So super fun!!! Loved it =)

Well here is a card that I worked on a few post ago, but I ended up not really liking it anymore. So, I was thinking, what could I do to it to make it really stand out!! The card before was the couple as a shaped card. I just cut of the card part and started layering and putting this one together.

I really really LOVE this card. I think my friend will enjoy it to. I just have to wait untill June to give it to her!! Urgh! I wish I could so give it to her now. I really want her to see it!! =)

Has this ever happened to you? Have you ever made something and quite not had the feeling for it and changed it all together? Or am I the only crazy one to do so? LOL

Wacky Wednesdays, Wedding Inspired

Happy Sunday,

     Here is a quick post. I made this card for Paula over at More Than Favors This week's challenge is to make anything Wedding. Hmmmm...? Wedding I thought. I really don't have any upcoming weddings or need to finish anything wedding related. So what can I do. Then it came to me. A dear friend of mine is going to celebrate her 1st wedding anniversary this June!

  So this is a perfect time to get her card made and done! Yay. The colors I used are her wedding colors. Hope you enjoy it!

CCC #6 at More Than Favors

Hello my friends,

     How are you all doing this Lovely Sunday!! I'm so excited for it being Presidents Day tomorrow. I have the day off and can relax and go to JoAnn's. I haven't visited JoAnn's since last Christmas!!! I'm sure it misses me!!! LOL I miss it!!!
 
   Well I love to join challenges! Do you? I haven't really entered any but my juices have been flowing with alot of great challenges out there. Today I wanted to share with you my entry for CCC over at More Than Favors.

   This challenge is to use a cut from the Rock Princess Cart. While I was looking through the manual I really didn't have the feel for any cuts. I went through it 3 times before I decided I wanted to cut out this rose.

    I am extremely happy I did because I am very happy with how this card turned out. I haven't added a sentiment to it because this is one of those cards that pretty much can go with anything. So when the time comes and I need a card I can grab this one and just add any sentiment! I love these types of cards!!! =)

Trying a new Technique out

    Now here is my 4th post of the day. Scroll down to see the rest.

 Ok, so I have always thought of doing this, Don't know if anyone has tried it at all. But I kept thinking that I wanted to do more with my Cuttlebug folders than just emboss. So while I pondered this for many many months. I finally decided to try it with my new Stampin Up' Sizzix embossing folder.

    This is what I was thinking. After I emboss an Image how can I make it really pop. I know some people have rubbed their ink pad over it and others have sanded their paper down, but has anyone heat embossed an image? Well I did!!! I kinda like it. I looks diferent and does help bring out the image more.

  Take a look at the pics and tell me what you think. Now this is a first, for everything on my card. I heat embossed, added ribbon, bling, even metal pieces. I also did some sanding down, paper ripping, and sprayed some smooches spritz. I wanted to go for an old vintage style card. Without using any browns in it. Here it is......

  I'd appreciate all your comments. Maybe I'll continue this if I get some good feedback.

Here it is, what do you think?

What I did first was embossed a piece of pink cardstock,
then I lightly rubbed my Versamark pad over the lifted area. I was trying to get only the
embossed part but it didn't happened like I'd liked it to. I poured white powder
all over and brushed off a lot from the inside of the image.
I heat set it and then cut the image out.

The red base paper I sanded as much as I could down and then sprayed red
smooches spritz all over. I also sanded down the pink glimmer
cardstock to take shininess off and tore a rectangle out.
I added eyelets and these metal letters I found in my stash.

I love adding bling so I just had to. Don't know if it goes with the
feel I was goin for? But I still added it.



  So there you have it. I tried all kinds off different techniques I've never tried before. I was trying to think outside of the box as they say. Comments are really appreciated. I want to see if you all think  I should try another one out or have any ideas on how to perfect what I was going for. This was a very messy project!

    Happy Thursday!!! Here is the last Valentine's Day mailbox I made for another niece of mine. It's real simple but I really like the way this one came out. I used my Peachy Keen stamps for the faces and doodled with my white gel pen!
