A Quickie!

Happy Tuesday!!!

  It's about 12:24 am here in Sunny California. I do mean sunny!!! Yesterday temperatures reached a high of 80 degrees!!! Geees!! I thought it was December. The weather people are predicting showers this upcoming Friday till Tuesday. I'm crossing my fingers, I want it to feel like winter!!

Well enough rambling, onto my card. This card I made really qiuck and to be honest I'm not thrilled with it at all. I couldn't figure out how to piece it together. The cricut cut was already done and glitterfied. It was the picking of cardstock and pattern paper to create the card base. Oh well, this is what I came up with. If you do have any ideas on what you would do different please share. I'd appreciate it!!! Have a jolly Tueasday!!!

I used raffia and buttons to add some embellishments.

This was originally going to be an ornament
but I cut it out way to big and
decided I would add it to a card later.

Hello Friends!

    I am in a crafting Frenzy!! I started to make a Xmas card after my ornaments. I am loving this card so much. I used paper from Joann's dollar section. It came with 6 sheets of patterned paper. I also used Kraft cardstock for the base of my card. The Mickey is from the Mickey and Friends Cart, icon feat. The hat came from PDDU. What do you think? I have about 4 more xmas cards to finish up and I will be sending them on there way hopefully on Tuesday. Once I'm done I'll post them up to see what you think. Have an awesome night!!

Christmas Crafting

Hi Bloggies!

Yay, it's Friday. I'm so happy for that. (well probably now Saturday as soon as I post this) lol. It was a rough work week. Hope everyone will have an awesome weekend. I will finish Xmas decorating and hopefully get some shopping done. How is everyone doing with that? Any procrastinators like me? :)

So today I went to my friend's house to do some holiday crafting with her 3 daughters. We had a blast. We decorated and painted wood ornaments from Joanns. They were only .39 and the acrylic paint was on sale for .59 each! What a bargain!

I painted the snowman ornament and the girls painted the other ones. These lil ones' are 6 and under. I think they came out great . I only helped with the glitter. The girls did everything else on their own. This is such an easy project to do with the kids. The girls enjoyed it very much!

Give this a try with your kids, nephews, nieces, neighbors, anyone! Let me know how fun it was. Enjoy!

Stationary for Claudia

HI Bloggies!

      Whew I feel like I haven't been here in forever. I do check you blogs regularly and try to leave as many comments as I can while I am there. But, keeping my blog up has not been on my to do list. I have had a lot going on.

      Here is a project I made for a dear friend of mine that was going to be leaving our school on Nov. 29th. Her name is Claudia and she works in the office. Claudia is a bundle of joy, she is always smiling, she's a great friend and I will miss seeing her when I go to work. She was always the first smile I saw when would walk ino campus and because the district works in the most wierd ways, she has been transfered to another school. BOO ;( So I wanted to gift Claudia something that she will be able to use at her new school, and something that when she looks at it, it will remind her of me! :)

      I will miss my friend dearly and I know everyone at school will to. She will always be a "Sendakian" (We call ourselves this at the school we work at) Maurice Sendak Elementary. I will still see her shining smile on FB and we will continue to keep in touch. This one is for you CLAUDIA!!!!! Thanks for everything.

    I hope you guys enjoy this one!

 Hi Bloggy Friends!!

     How is everyone today? I had a great relaxing day. I caught myself up on almost all my Ellen shows, made some cupcakes and made this card. This card I am entering it in the Cricut Cardz Challenge. The challenge was to create a Christmas card using the card feature from any of your carts. We also were able to use any colors. Whoo hoo. I have a lot of scraps to use up so this was perfect. I actually really like this card. It looks very festive with the bling and glitter!! I just need to find the perfect sentiment for it and voila, I'm done. Hope you guys like it. Thank for stopping by!!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all enjoyed your Monday! Can you believe next week is Thanksgiving!! Wow does time sure fly. There's also 40 days left till X-MAS.

Well this card is made for 2 challenges, More Than Favors Wacky Wednesday Challenge 15. For this challenge you had to use the colors Green, Blue, and Brown. Love this combo and I really like how my card came out. I just need a sentiment for the banner.Still Haven't decided what type of card this will be. Any Suggestions?

The next challenge is Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge FTTC92. For this challenge we had to create using GLITTER!!! Love the bing.

Well my bloggy friends I am off to see what else I can create. I have my Imagine running and It's calling my name. The only sad thing is that I can not sync my Imagine OR my Gypsy. Hi Again!!


This is my second post of the night. I looked for some challenges to get some inspiration and saw that many of them end tonight!!! So I ran upstairs and started crafting as fast as possible. NOW THAT'S A CHALLENGE IN ITSELF! Whew!!


This card is going to be entered at BBTB2 and Fantabulous Cricut


Fantabulou's challenge was to create something green and use a circle, for the BBTB2 they asked to use the dog in Create a Critter on page 35. Again I used my scraps to do this. I'm excited because I am winding down on the scraps I have. My goal is to use only my scraps in the next upcoming projects I make. I hope you enjoy this card and I can't wait to create more!!! I'm actually pretty pleased with it! =)

I think I'm back!

Hello Friends.

Well I haven't posted a card in ages. Lol. I'm a little rusty but have been dying to create! I made this card using scraps I found laying around when I cleaned my scrap room. I am going to enter this card in 2 challenges. Paper Play time is asking for an inspired "You Rock" project and Crafty Creations is asking to use buttons!!! Go play along and join in on the fun!!!!

I can't wait to get back to my regular schedule and craft all the time. Especially since the holidays are quickly approaching. 41 more days till Xmas! Yikes. Enjoy.

Cleaning

Hi friends,

My craft room is a total disaster. I have not been in here to craft in weeks but I sure do come in and dump everything I can't find a home for in here. I have to stop now I can't seem to find anything. So cleaning and making it sparkly is the plan for tonight. I'm a night person so cleaning and crafting and everything else is so much earsier for me at this time.

Hi everyone. Hope you all had a great day today. Now I know I am so late. This was posted sometime on October 17th or before. But, a dear friend of mine was given a blog award and she shared it with me. I am so super excited for this. My first award!!

A quick post

I wanted to really quickly post a pic of how I did my make up for my Day of the Dead inspired Halloween costume. It was the quickest make up application I've ever done. I had 10 minutes, Yes 10 minutes to get out and leave to the party. A bit stressful moment but fun memories. I hope you like it. Goodbye Halloween, Hello Thanksgiving harvest time!

Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone has enjoyed one of my FAVORITE holidays! I am just arriving from LAS VEGAS!!! I had a blast. I have been really stressed at work and I've had a huge load on my shoulders these past weeks, so my hubby and I decided to get a way and go out on a mini vacation. I have one more HECTIC work week and I will be back up and running and working on my blog. I miss it so much. I have not crafted in weeks, I'm having cricut withdrawls. lol
